Excessive Misconduct - A.F.A. Stages
The Amateur Football Alliance (A.F.A.) operates a "stage system" whereby Penalty Points (whether from personal or club indiscipline) are accumulated by clubs during the season and any excessive misconduct may lead to further disciplinary action against the club. Penalty points are counted only for the season concerned, and may not be carried forward from one season to the next. Sanctions are imposed at three stages, each incurring an Administration Charge, for the 2004-05 season set at £10.00. The number of points allowed for each stage is dependent upon the number of teams the club possesses.
