Completing the Comprehensive Result Sheet

Introduction

The Comprehensive Result Sheet (CRS) is an essential piece of information which clubs are required to send to the league each week, enabling the League Officers to collate the information required to run the league.

The Comprehensive Result Sheet can be submitted via email (our preferred option) or by post.

The Comprehensive Result Sheet is to be used for all your Club’s matches (Saturday and midweek; Friendly, League and Cup fixtures). Midweek results must also be notified to the appropriate League Match Secretary by telephone.

Filling in the CRS

Opponents: please state the opposition club and which team it was (i.e., 3rd, 4th, etc) and whether the game was at home or away.

Division & Result: please state which division clearly. If the match wasn't a League fixture, then show which cup competition you played in (remember you probably need to send a separate report to that Cup Competition). Also give the score line, home team first, away team second.

If a game was postponed, put P in the scorelines boxes and in the Remarks section show when (day and time) and why the game was postponed (bad weather, opposition lack of players, etc)

Referee: Home sides should give the referee’s name (away sides aren't required to report the referee's name, but please do so if you can). Both sides should give the referee's mark out of 100. If a mark of 60 or lower is awarded for a referee, a written explanation must be sent to the Referees’ Secretary within seven days of the match.

All referees’ names should be given, including club referees. If a referee is a "Club" referee put "C" in brackets after his/her name. If the game was refereed by players, then put "Players" in the referees name.

Click here for details on marking the referee.

Late KO?: This section should only be filled in if the kick-off was later than arranged. If so show how late the kick-off was and give reasons in the Remarks column.

Spirit of Football: Clubs should give a mark out of 10 for each opposition's Spirit of Football.

Any mark of 4 or below must be explained in the remarks column.

Discipline: Please show the numbers of cautions and dismissals for each sides; names of players involved are not required, but for the 2010-11 season onwards, clubs should also report within the comments details of any club disciplinary action taken against players.

Hospitality & Amenities: Away sides should give marks out of ten for the home side’s Organisation, Facilities and Hospitality. Any mark of 4 or below must be explained in the remarks column. It is important that if hospitality is unsatisfactory, the reasons are given, as well as any comment on amenities (i.e., pitch markings, changing facilities, etc).

Home sides should indicate in the two columns shown whether Hospitality was offered to their opponents, and also whether it was accepted.

If hospitality was not offered (or not accepted), then do not give a mark for hospitality - indicate that it wasn't offered or wasn't accepted in the boxes shown.

Venue: Home and away sides should indicate which ground was used, using the codes shown in the handbook (e.g. ground "A", ground "B" etc).

Remarks: Any remarks should be given here, including time and reason for cancellations, whether a side played a friendly if they had no scheduled game, and any explanation for low marks for Spirit of Football, Organisation, Facilities and Hospitality. If you want to go into more detail, please send it as a separate report.

Serious Events: The Comprehensive Result Sheet should not be used for reporting serious incidents, e.g. serious foul play or the abandonment of a game. Such incidents should be notified immediately to the Discipline Secretary in writing as well as reported to the relevant League Match Secretary.

Marks out of Ten: When giving marks for Spirit of Football, Organisation, Hospitality, Facilities and so forth, please try to be objective and consistent. The following may help to provide a guideline to how we will interpret these marks:-

Mark Comments
10 Faultless
9 Excellent
8 Very Good
7 Good
6 Average
5 Below Average
4 Unsatisfactory
3 Poor
2 Very poor
1 Unacceptable

Remember that a mark of 4 or below given by clubs for Spirit of Football , Organisation, Facilities or Hospitality requires an explanation in the notes section or a separate report. Please ensure that such comments are written in a constructive and objective manner.

These marks and comments are important, as they significantly assist league officers in monitoring clubs and enabling us to help clubs to maintain standards.

These marks are also used by the league when determining the various annual club awards.

Sending the CRS

To send an email copy click here to download the Excel email format. If you want to download a PDF form to complete by hand and send by post, click here. Once completed, the Excel file should be emailed to the Results Secretary. Emailed CRS forms will be accepted within two days of games being played.

When you email the form, please ensure you send it as an Excel attachment, and please ensure you name the file to describe your club and the date for which it applies. For example: Old Danes 18-12-02.xls

Clubs emailing a copy of the CRS should of course keep a copy themselves.

Alternatively, clubs can submit the CRS via the post, using the same sheet. We no longer use carbonless sets of sheets - you only need to submit one copy to the league.

You must use either the prescribed email form, or the carbonless sheets, as both have been designed to be used conveniently by league officers.

Posted CRS sheets should be completed and posted to catch the first collection following the games by first class mail to Danny McConnell (PO Box 605, Bromley, Kent, BR2 0YQ). Where no games are played, a NIL return is required.

If the CRS is not received, arrives late, or is submitted incomplete, your club will be fined, and this fine will be increased until the CRS is received. Non-submission of the CRS is not acceptable.
