Player Registration

Back to Club Guidance Menu

Why was Player Registration introduced? - From the 2003-04 season onwards the Football Association and the Amateur Football Alliance have required that all leagues hold a register of players. This is a condition of leagues being sanctioned for play.

What information is needed? - Clubs are reminded to refer to rule 8e, and that registers of players (name, address, date of birth and date of registration) are due to be sent to Norman MacDonald, Chairman of the Fixtures Committee by 31st October. Once you have sent this list then you do not need to send us updates and changes to it, however the league might at any stage during the season ask for an updated list, which you would be required to submit within seven days.

Are Player Details Required for each match? - No, the Amateur Football Combination does not require clubs to submit the names of players for each match played.

Data Protection Act - This information is being collected by the Amateur Football Combination for the purposes of Player Registration and will be made available to the Amateur Football Alliance. It may also be made available to other County Football Associations and to the Football Association. It will not be made available to any external organisations for Commerical Purposes.

How and where should we send the information? - Clubs may either post a copy to Norman MacDonald, 16 Donnington Road, Worcester Park, Surrey, KT4 8EN or may email a copy of the email format form below. Clubs are not restricted to using these forms, if you already have the information in your own format you may use it. However, if possible we would prefer you use the standard forms.

There are two downloads available below (both Microsoft Excel format). One is a form which it is intended you can complete and submit via email (note that the sections for telephone numbers and email addresses are optional, for club purposes and are not required by the league). The second is a template you may wish to print off and send in written form.

Any further questions - should be directed to Norman MacDonald, the Chairman of the Fixtures Committee.
