National League Systems Cup

The 2007-08 season saw the Amateur Football Combination enter the FA Run National League Systems Cup. This competition is for leagues throughout England at Step 7 of the National League System (effectively the highest level of "Amateur Football") with restrictions on players (no-one who has ever signed a professional contract is eligible) and the winners represent England the following season in the UEFA Regions Cup. Although the AFC operates outside of the "pyramid", the FA consider us to be the equivalent of a "Step 7" league.

The Amateur Football Combination progressed to the semi-finals before falling to the eventual winners, the Southern Amateur League.
